Cornell Welding & Fabricating Ltd is a fully-equipped custom metal fabrication and welding firm located in Woodstock, Ontario. With two manufacturing plants totaling a combined 40,000 sq ft, easy access to major highways, close proximity to large steel and aluminum supplier bases, and a hard-working and dedicated team of employees, Cornell is perfectly positioned to maintain its reputation as one of North America’s foremost experts in the metal fabrication field.

 

Our facilities are outfitted with cutting-edge equipment, including double-headed high-definition plasma cutters, CNC hydraulic press brake formers, and a new 6000 W fibre laser cutter. (A full list can be viewed in the Equipment section.) Cornell’s welding procedures are second to none, with certifications in CWB and CSA, and adherence to AWS specifications. Our quality standards are validated by the internationally-recognized ISO-9001:2008 certification and are strategically aligned with associations in the precast concrete industry.

history in the making

1967

Cornell starts as a small one-person welding and repair shop. In the first few years, we grow to have five truck-mounted portable welding machines. We perform in-plant maintenance work for local industries, and produce metal products and ornamental iron work for industrial, commercial and residential applications.

In May, the Cornell Social Club presented a big cheque to the Parkinson Society in memory of Al Shipp, our operations manager, who passed away in 2012. The money was raised from the proceeds of our summer BBQs. Cornell employees and neighbouring companies all contributed to this worthy cause. Al’s wife and members of his family were on hand for the presentation

Cornell is a proud and regular supporter of youth athletics in the local community - most especially the Woodstock Soccer Club. We support indoor and outdoor soccer teams at a range of ages, including Under-8/9, Under-11, and Under-14.
